CGM® : Certified General Manager
CGM® is administered by HRMI; one of the most renowned institutes in business management and communications in the United States. By earning CGM® candidates demonstrate that they have mastered the general management and business management body of knowledge, obtained the skills of corporate general management and administration, and committed to HRMI® core values and code of ethics.
CGM® CERTIFICATION PREPARATION
If you are studying in order to prepare for the CGM® exam; HRMI® provides candidates with training sessions for many of the exam questions. HRMI® also provide thorough training for the exam modules using its learning system through authorized training providers and prometric centers worldwide.
Module (1) Strategic & Organizational Management
Examine various strategic tools and frameworks and explore their application in various competitive situations. Understand the process of strategy development and execution from environmental and competitor analysis, through crafting a competitive position, to strategic agility, risks, productivity, innovation and implementation. Explore management facets: organizational behavior, decision making, process planning & controlling, organizing & leadership, corporate governance, time & stress management, change management, and agile project management. Use relevant methodologies, tools, and processes to improve management skills and enable effective assessment and adjustment of operational processes and strategic goals.
Module (2) Managing Resources
Address resource management from different perspectives; people, materials, equipment, quality, digital transformation and tools for developing resources who can contribute more and stimulate change in a business breakthrough, tapping into resources full potential.
Module (3) Economic Analysis
Economics for Business is the science and art of utilizing macro and microeconomic analyses in formulating and executing corporate strategy. Participants will learn how the macroeconomic machine functions and how it influences key variables, such as the policy interest rate and the exchange rate. Furthermore, participants will learn how to deploy natural and synthetic hedging strategies to manage macro/micro-level risks
Module (4) Accounting & Financial Management
Explore how to read/analyze/manage financial statements, classify different types of costs, budgeting, make financial decisions, compare different investment opportunities, and optimize capital structure given the availability/cost/tenure of each source of finance.
Module (5) Marketing & Business Development
Understand the components of an effective strategic marketing and business development plans, covering key concepts and processes, from analyzing the business environment through formulating winning marketing strategies to effectively executing marketing programs.
CGM® CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor Degree in related field and;
- A minimum of five years experience in any related business area (engineering; marketing, management, HR, business, finance, operation, logistics..).
- A Minimum of 30 hours of general management approved training.
- A passing score on the CGM Examination.
EXAM FORMAT & OUTLINES
The CGM examination is a 3-hour exam, 100 multiple-choice questions examinations. The exam is given in booklet form and/or online.
AWARD OF INRERNATIONAL CERTIFICATIONS
Upon successful completion of the program, the Participants will be conferred the Certified General Manager (CGM) by the Human Resource Management Institute (HRMI) as well as Senior Executive Management Diploma by Global University of Science & Technology (GUST)
