Global Technical Competence–Based Professional Security Framework
Certified Security Officer (CSO®)
Certified Security Manager (CSM®)
Certified Chief Security Officer (CCSO®)
Certified Security Consultant (CSC®)
Program Overview
In an increasingly complex global risk environment—where physical threats, cyber risks, business continuity challenges, and regulatory compliance converge—organizations demand security professionals who are not only operationally capable, but strategically competent and globally certified.
The Dual International Security Certifications jointly awarded by the HR Management Institute (HRMI) and the Global University of Science & Technology (GUST) provide a unique, globally aligned pathway for security professionals to advance from frontline operations to executive leadership and consultancy roles. These certifications are developed in accordance with Global Technical Competence Standards, ISO Management System Standards, and leading American and European best practices, ensuring international recognition, credibility, and career mobility.
This dual-award framework integrates professional certification from HRMI with academic and professional recognition from GUST, bridging the gap between industry practice, governance, and leadership development. The programs are designed to develop competencies in security operations, risk management, crisis response, governance, compliance, and strategic decision-making—essential for protecting people, assets, information, and organizational resilience.
The Security Management Certification (SMC) is a globally aligned, multi-level professional certification framework designed to develop and validate security competence from operational officers to executive leaders and independent consultants.

-
